Non-toxic control of pests

Many household pest problems can be reduced without routine pesticide applications. Sanitation, sealing entry points, removing moisture, proper food storage and physical traps are often effective first steps.

“Non-toxic” should not be interpreted as a guarantee that a treatment is harmless. Even plant-derived or homemade products can create risks if applied to food or used contrary to safety instructions. Identify the pest before selecting a control method.
